Hampshire 3ft Headboard (Wall Fixing) In White Textured MDF And White Melamine

The headboard is something of an odd addition to a bed, they are pleasant to look at and add a certain ‘something’ to the looks, but do they actually do anything? The Hampshire 3ft headboard can be attached to the wall thanks to some clever fixings. This headboard isn’t just for looks, though.

Headboards were originally created in to protect the sleeper from cold and drafts in buildings that were not very well insulated. This is the reason why headboards are traditionally made from wood, because they don’t conduct heat as well as brick or stone. To further help these aims, the headboard also forces a space to be created from the wall so that cold air sank through it to the floor, rather than onto the sleepers head!

In better heated and insulated homes, just like the ones we have today, they serve a more visual purpose. It’s hard to deny that a bed just looks much better with a well designed and constructed headboard and the Hampshire single headboard is an ideal choice!

Made from sturdy melamine, the single 3ft headboard from the Hampshire furniture range is easy to clean and care for due to the scratch resistant properties that it holds.
